Principal's Message

Dear Dr. Garza STEAM Academy Families,

As we stand on the brink of a new school year, I am thrilled to welcome you back to Dr. Raul Garza, Jr. STEAM Academy for the 2024-2025 school year! I hope you all had a wonderful summer filled with exploration, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

This year, we are excited to continue our commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment that emphasizes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Our dedicated team of educators has been working diligently to enhance our curriculum, ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

Here are a few highlights we are excited about this year:

  1. Innovative Curriculum: We are introducing new hands-on projects and interdisciplinary units that will allow students to engage deeply with STEAM concepts. Expect exciting challenges that inspire creativity and critical thinking!
  2. Expanded Extracurricular Programs: We will offer a variety of clubs and activities that cater to diverse interests. Whether your child is passionate about robotics, art, coding, or environmental science, there will be something for everyone.
  3. Parent and Community Engagement: We believe that collaboration between school and home is essential for student success. We invite you to participate in workshops, volunteer opportunities, and school events throughout the year.
  4. Focus on Well-being: This year, we will continue to prioritize the social and emotional well-being of our students. Our counselor is available to support students and families, ensuring a positive and safe school environment.
  5. Technology Integration: With the rapid advancement of technology, we are committed to providing our students with access to the latest tools and resources. We will continue to integrate technology into our lessons to enhance learning experiences. We are very excited for our soon to be Rocket News Network!! RNN will feature our students as they learn how to create, record and broadcast.
